Traditional Bulgarian cuisine focuses on meat, cheese and potatoes, but during the summer almost all dishes include the famous Shopska salad (and its varieties: Ovcharska (Shepperd) and Greek salads) so vegetarians shouldn’t worry since the most popular dishes are cheese and vegetable-based. Take the chance to try the unique white Bulgarian cheese (a brand even France has not) – which could be part of every Weight Watchers list, since it is rich in calcium and natural taste and low in bad fats. Barakuda Restaurant
Offers wide range of dishes rich in meat – fish, chicken, pork and grilled meat or pizzas. Waitresses speak good english. It's very niece place to have a rest, eat delicious local food and drink Bulgarian wine. In evening many restaurants offer live music. Local bands play popular and folk bulgarian music mainly and encourage tourists to dance and have fun in a more natural manner than the professional animators do.

A restaurant with great view, you’d better have lunch instead of dinner, because you are wont see anything at night. They have good fish kitchen.

Restaurant Viatarna Melnitza
Popular with its good service and nice waitresses. There is a folkdance show and the restaurant is in traditional bulgarian style.
Try to prepare your own Shopska salad
Ingredients: 4 tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, 4-5 red peppers preferably baked on fire, 1 onion, 150g brined cow cheese, sunflower oil, vinegar and salt. Cut everything in small pieces, especially the onions and then add the salt, oil and vinegar then mix. Top with grated cheese.
